We love it when you send in photos of your boats, your trips, the Rendezvous, you in your bikini! And we have all the more reason to love it when someone from the rest of the world sends us photos of us! Here are a couple. They are from Roger Little of Calgary who just happened to cruise into Roche Harbor during our 2008 Rendezvous weekend. Here’s Roger’s note: “We were visiting Roche Harbour in May 2008 in our 38′ Express Cruiser and enjoyed seeing so many beautiful Grand Banks all in one spot. We were just cleaning up this summer’s memory stick from our digital camera and came across photos that your members may enjoy. Regards, Roger Little, Our Little One IV, Home Port: Pt Roberts, WA.” So…enjoy!

WHAT’S HAPPENING TO THE BIG GUYS? (10/08)
Darn it! The daily news is not getting any better. The entire world in financial upheaval… the world’s environment going goofy… politics, wars and confusion on all sides… and now this Seattle Times story about our Orca dying off. By the way, click on these if you’d like to listen to orcas talking, or watch videos of them in Puget Sound or learn more about them, or about Chinook salmon.
LEAVE NO CRAB POT BEHIND! (10/08)
Here’s a trouble-below-the-surface story that ran recently in the Seattle Times about “derelict fishing gear” that is (sadly) killing our wildlife. While not too many of us use our GBs for commercial fishing (hey, a couple of people have!), we do pop those crab and shrimp pots over the side at regular and frequent intervals…like whenever we can! Turns out– a lot of this sort of stuff is still “down there” and doing no good for any of us, and our fantastic marine resource, whatsoever. Thank goodness some good people are doing something about it!

NEED VARNISHING? (10/08)
We do love the generous support we get from our sponsors every year (actually– couldn’t make it without ’em!). But there’s something more to love when they come up with special offers exclusively for us! A new one just in from Seaview Boatyard. You should check it out!
