Here are some recently submitted photos from our members. More photos are in our photo gallery.

From Sally and Larry Cole …

Lucky Stars, our Europa 46, from the shore on Sucia island in the San Juans with Mt. Baker in the background.  Our cruising this summer included Vancouver, to the head of Indian Arm, Howe Sound, Garden Bay, Texada, Cortes Island, Campbell River, Naniamo, the Gulf Islands and home again to Seattle.  Nothing too exciting, but good crabbing, clamming, oyster-ing along  the way.

From Ken Watters …

“OMG! So now what do I do??” Aboard our Grand Banks 42, 4th of July, at Ocean Falls, BC.

From Roy Brooks …

North bound in Colvos Passage on a beautiful northwest morning, Triumph, our Grand Banks 42 was joined for several minutes by these guys that just wanted to play. I might add they are much faster than our Grand Banks as they made repeated large circles crossing in front as close as they could without being hit. It was a great way to start our trip for that weekend.

Archimedes, our Grand Banks 42, on a mooring buoy at Blake Island. It was a fantastic sunset and the perfect end to a wonderful day!

Chance Summer Meetings

Lily and I saw lots of PSGBOA members in Pender Harbor and Princess Louisa Inlet this past week. Here are photos of three couples and their GBs, together with yours truly. We also saw Baby Grand (1974 32 Sedan, Ray and Anne McGrew) in Roche Harbor, and I know we missed many of you.

Happy travels!

John Henson
President, PSGBOA

Honu

Honu (1991 34 Sedan) Don and Carla Coskran proudly display the PSGBOA burgee in Pender Harbor. They live in Hawaii but use Pender as a base for summer travels throughout the Inside Passage.

Voyageur

Voyageur (1989 42 Classic) John and Linda Seely, seen here in Pender Harbor, are headed north, ultimate latitude TBD. Their niece Lina, from Copenhagen, is along too. John and Linda live in Chicago but cruise in the Pacific Northwest.

ItsAllGood-2

Its All Good (1972 50 FD Motoryacht) Don and Teresa Wills at (you know that setting!) Chatterbox Falls. Lily is in the photo, too. Its All Good was on the Edmonds Yacht Club’s Commodore’s Cruise. Don is Immediate Past Commodore.

2013 PSGBOA Rendezvous Recap

A message from the Rendezvous Chair …

This year’s PSGBOA Rendezvous at Roche Harbor was attended by 60 boats, including 18 first time attendees. The theme was “South of the Boarder Fiesta”, and the decorations, meals and music carried the theme. From all accounts, the rendezvous was a great success with a number of interesting speakers, a visit by “Carnac the Magnificent”, a rubber ducky race, a fantastic cooking demonstration, and raffle prizes.

We had an excellent group of sponsors who set up exhibit booths next to the taco bar on the dock, and the food contributed by our attendees to Friday’s pot luck and wine/beer tasting event was the best we’ve ever had, and there was plenty of it to be shared!  And of course, Roche Harbor did a first class job with Saturday’s wind up cocktail party, raffle and dinner.
