We’re headed BACK TO THE ISLAND for a Jimmy Buffet-esque celebration of spring! Join us at the 2018 Grand Banks Rendezvous, May 9-13 at Roche Harbor Resort and Marina.

Boy, do we have a great Rendezvous planned for you this year! We are busy preparing to welcome you “Back to the Island” (Jimmy Buffet-style!). Break out all your “ParrotHead” gear, Key West style island clothing and join us at the 2018 Grand Banks Rendezvous! You’ll enjoy great friends, great food and fun! We will be ready and waiting on the docks to greet you whether you are a First Timer or a Rendezvous Regular!

Registration:
Registration fees are $250 per boat with up to two people onboard (additional fees apply for extra people and kids – see the Registration form for details). Look at all of what the Captain and First Mate get, as part of that reasonable registration fee!

8 to 10 educational speakers over three days, discussing various topics on boating, safety, history, maintenance, and much more!

2017 Grand Banks Rendezvous: An Endless Summer
May 10^th-14^th at Roche Harbor Resort and Marina

Calling ALL Grand Banks Owners!

It may still be winter but it’s time to start thinking about boating and creating your “Endless Summer” memories! What better way to start the boating season than with old and new friends? I hope you will join us in celebrating our 2017 PSGBOA Rendezvous at our favorite spot Roche Harbor, on San Juan Island.

Your PSGBOA Rendezvous Committee has been hard at work to bring you the “best of the best” that boating has to offer! We will once again have great presenters and loads of fun scheduled for you to enjoy over our four day event. And don’t worry – there’s still plenty of down time to hang out on your boat and stroll the docks!

Our theme this year is celebrating an “Endless Summer.” What does that mean to you? Anchoring in Desolation Sound? Watching the kids take the dinghy ashore for a bonfire? Sitting on the deck of your boat and watching the sun set? Pulling up a crab pot just filled with big, juicy males? Whatever you think of when you think of a summer memory that you never want to end, we hope you will join the fun and express your love for an endless summer. Decorate your boat, decorate your dinghy or reflect it in your summer time clothes… or just bring a great story to share with us!

Regular Registration: $250 – includes up two people
Extra Adult (Ages 18 and up): $105
Children Ages 6-17: $40
Children 5 and Under: Free

RENDEZVOUS EXTENSION:

If you are interested in extending your Rendezvous I would like to invite you to continue further north with me and my husband, Mike. We would love to have you join us for a mini cruise leaving Roche Harbor Sunday the 14^th. We’d head to Sidney, Vancouver Island for two nights and then continue onto Mill Bay two nights and then head over to Friday Harbor for two nights. We’ll have a few Docktail Parties and organize a dinner or potluck depending on the size of the group. Sign up during registration for further info! Once I know how many boats plan on coming, I will let each of those interested know if they need to make slip reservations, etc. There will be a captain’s meeting Saturday late afternoon before our final dinner in Roche Harbor.

We are very excited to announce that REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the “GB Round Up” – this year’s annual PSGBOA Rendezvous!

Theme Announced for 2016 Rendezvous

Grab your ten gallon hats and your (non skid, non scuff) cowboy boots! The 2016 PSGBOA Rendezvous is riding into Roche Harbor May 11th-15th and our theme this year is “Grand Banks Round Up.” We can’t wait to bring the spirit of the West to Roche Harbor this May! 2015 PSGBOA Rendezvous – Thanks for Another Great Event!

Thank you to all those who attended this year’s Puget Sound Grand Banks Owners Association Rendezvous! It was a wonderful event – beautiful weather, picturesque location and of course, most importantly, a huge group of fantastic Grand Banks Owners!

This year’s Rendezvous attracted over 80 Grand Banks and over 200 proud owners, friends and GB enthusiasts. For those who were unable to attend, here’s a brief recap of the event, by Leslie Simmons of Stan Miller Yachts (and PSGBOA Board Member):

“The annual Puget Sound Grand Banks Rendezvous was another resounding success! This year’s event began on Wednesday, May 6^th and ended Sunday, May 10^th at Roche Harbor Resort and Marina, on sunny San Juan Island.

This year we were treated to eighty plus Grand Banks in attendance. Not only were there a lot of boats, there was a huge variety of Grand Banks, representing many different stages of GB’s production. The theme for this year’s event was “Celebrating Over 50 Years of Grand Banks in the Pacific NW” – so it was fitting that there was such great variety! We visited with owners of all sorts. On the “historical” side, there were two gorgeously restored Alaskans and quite a few woodies. Every decade was represented, from the 1960s to the 2000s. The oldest boats were a 1967 32 Sedan and 36 Classic, and the newest were a 2007 39 Eastbay and 2007 47 Europa. Everyone loved seeing the wide spectrum of GBs lining the docks!

The Rendezvous flew by, with a busy schedule of events. Wednesday kicked off with two seminars and a dockside Happy Hour. By Thursday, most of the attendees had arrived and things really began to groove, with more seminars, a dinghy trip to Westcott Bay Oyster Farm and a fire safety demo. The evening capped off with a bonfire on the beach and a spooky walk to the Mausoleum.

The fun continued on Friday, with Grand Banks Yachts presenting their annual company update, as well as service tips from Service Director Fran Morey. A cooking demo enticed a big part of the group up to McMillin’s Dining Room, where they feasted on Prime Rib and learned tips from Chef Bill Shaw.

Friday features a dedicated Sponsor Booth session; we loved meeting with everyone – Grand Banks owners are so proud about their boats, that it’s a treat to get to speak with them, as well as see the boats in person!

A potluck and wine tasting topped of an already fantastic Friday. On Saturday, the last day of the event, attendees had plenty of time to soak up the sun, enjoy more seminars and of course, watch the annual dog show. There’s a lot of dogs onboard GBs (and a few cats!), that’s for sure. At the end of the day on Saturday, everyone gathered on the lawn to enjoy drinks and a fantastic dinner.
